10.5 inch rim (RPK-038)
 

Im looking to get new rims for my car.
The deep dish RPK-038 wheels caught my eye.
If anyone has these could you please chime in about whether you like them or not.

What do you guys think the widest rear tire width I could run on these rims without rubbing?
I was thinking of running 295 or 305 on the rear with a 255 on the front.
I think that would give it an aggressive look. Do you guys think there would be any performance enhancements since there is a larger contact patch?

Also if I lower the car about half an inch or .75 of an inch would that cause the tire to rub?

I like them, but you've not posted the offsets and size so we can't help you determine if they will fit.

Btw, who is the manufacturer?

I'm running 10.5 inch 18s without rubbing.

10.5 is a very wide wheel to try and shoe-horn on a 986. It will have to be a very low offset in order to achieve that. Also, it will be next to impossible to fit a 295 tire as well. And, 255 on the front is way beyond what you should be running.

They are 19 inch rims with 45 offset in front.
The rear offset can be either 52 or 43.
Im not sure which rear offset will be better?

I'm currently running an 18x10.5 et52 in the rear with 275/35/18 with PSS9s and I can tell you that there is no more than a credit cards width of space between the wheel and the strut and I had to roll the rear fenders since my car is lowered somewhere between .75-1 inch. Front I have 18x8 with 225/40/18 which fit well. I have run 245's up front on 8.5 rims but I cannot see a reason nor am I sure it is possible to run 255s up front.

If you want to make sure things will fit without the hassle and trouble shooting I would go with a 19x8 with 235/35/19 and 19x10 with 275/30/19 tires.

My son hopped a curb and destroyed two of my wheels so I am currently looking at a new set up and I think this is the route I am going to take as well. Most likely I will be getting the 808's from Wheel Dynamics.

Are you sure about the rear offset being +52 ? That seems impossible with a 10.5 wheel. Could it be +42 perhaps ?

Almost impossible but possible. I double checked and yes my rears are et52

If you're looking for 19's, these might work for you.

I love the M550 but they are too wide. And I wish they came in 18's. They look great on a 981.

I plant to lower my car about .75 to 1 inch later on so with that in mind do you think i could run 245 up front with 285 in the rear with no issues? I think that would be about perfect, would it cause understeer? Wing, is the ride much harsher with the 19s and lower profile tires? Thanks

I have yet to put the 19s on my car yet so I am not one who can tell you how much of a difference there is between 18 and 19s. The 245s that I run are actually track tires which I believe will have a slightly wider footpriint than a street tires, so you are probably ok there. I have yet to hear about anyone running 285s in the rear without modification especially if you are going to lower the car. To me it seems like you are trying to go to the most extreme edge possible with your choices and usually when you do that something isn't going to fit right . I would do some more research and get confirmation from other pcar owners that what you are wanting to do will work. It's better to get it right the first time.

Hmm... I could never get a 10 inch wheel to fit (especially with PSS9's) that had an offset that was any higher than +40 to 42.
