front bumper cover fit for boxster

Looking forward to when I may want to change the front bumper cover on the 04 boxster S and was wondering which of the other standard porsche bumper covers would fit and what other things also must be changed such as radiator air ducts, etc

Any front bumper from the 986 line up will fit directly on your vehicle.

Great, didn't know id say I used a gt3 bumper I may also have to change to gt3 radiator air ducts and other extra stuff like that.

1999-2001 996 Carrera and Boxster are essentially the same car from the doors to the front bumper. It's 99% from the 996 parts bin.
Installing the 996.1 GT3 front bumper on the 986 is a piece of cake.
Also, I think the proportions are perfect. The 996.2 GT3 front bumper is a bit wider and longer and only available from the aftermarket for the 986 so installation is not as simple. and you'll probably need at least 18" wheels to fill the bigger wheel well space created by a bigger front bumper. Both 996.1 and 996.2 GT3 bumper are larger than the stock 986 S bumper so I think skirting is necessary to even out the the shape. Otherwise it looks like a skinny arrow from the side.

Thats it. What a beauty! But this thing is such an expensive mod which will probably cost $3k++

Edit: Talked to them and the grand total is $4000 including shipping. Ouch! Add another couple hundred for fitment, paint and installation. Damn those porsche oem parts. Lol

I'm going for this one:

I would get this one, but it's a tad too much on the noisy/aggressive side for me
