Changing out coolant bleeder o rings

I recently had my coolant boil over due to a bad thermo stat and probable air buble in the lines. I had just gotten the fluid changed. Anyway now that the boxster is running well I get some condensation in the trunk and under the plastic piece in the coolant fill area. I tried changing out the cap to my old .01 cap that worked fine and I still get the condensation. So I am assuming its coming from the bleeder valve. Do you guys recommend changing out the o rings or just leaving it alone since its just a small amount of coolant loss.

Sounds like a cracked coolant reservoir. Pull the carpet up in the trunk and look for coolant on the floor.

I've got the condensation as well. Changed out the tank. Still have it.
Idk what the hell is wrong!

Same here on my 2000S... .04 cap, coolant tank replaced 2 years ago. No coolant under carpet. Went back to a .02 cap and still had condensation.

I was having progressively worse condensation problems and no evidence of a tank leak. Cured 100% by 1 - making sure the cap was seated properly, cleaning and wetting the cap gasket helped here and 2 - changing out the two bleeder valve o-rings. In my case one was old and significantly deformed as the result of a poor installation some time in the past.

Changing the o-rings is easy to do but definitely take your time as people have stripped or broken the screws.

The shop that did the work said the tank was not cracked. I'm going to try changing the o rings I guess. I thought it could be the cap, but my old cap does the same.

I changed the o rings but am still getting condensation. I don't know if its any better or worse. My bleeder cap was ok but the rubber diaphragm had come loose from the cap at one spot and could be lifted up. Does anyone know the part number for the cap?

Is there any down side to just leaving it as is and topping up whenever necessary?
