More Photoshop Needed !

Can anyone (except Jager :)) help photoshop a black Porsche emblem and stripe on the lower door and side skirt for me ?

Flavor 987S 03-30-2013 04:43 AM

I've never been a huge fan of writting "PORSCHE" on our cars. Seem silly and redundant. Everyone knows it's a Porsche, and for the ones that don't, fark 'em. Don't do, Danger. And I think the horizontal lines of a decal with compete with the lines & flow on your side skirts.

You don't write " PORSCHE" down the side, you write "BOXSTER" in huge bold letters!

I saw a 2012 or 2013 the other day with BOXSTER written on the sides and almost fell over laughing. It was almost worse than aftermarket air skirts, or bright yellow......oh, er, um........sorry..;)

I agree. But, there's a part of me that's looking to change things up a bit and refresh the D-mobile for the Spring. Maybe it's due to the fact that I'm still suffering from the effects of a bad nipple stage when I was a teenager ?

You should never use "bad" and "nipple" in the same sentence. It makes no sense.:)

Easy there Timco ! I have "associates" working for me who are embedded as Mormons in Salt Lake who can pay your boxster a visit !

I suggest that you withhold judgment until you've seen the nipple.

Jager 03-30-2013 12:35 PM

Is this where you want the emblem?

Agreed. Yeah, maybe smoke the headlights a bit and be done. Looks great as is though.

Kenny Boxster 03-30-2013 06:40 PM

I wouldn't smoke the headlights if I had clears. Used to De-amber haha.

All it needs is a hood scoop and it is perfection.

ccstud17 04-01-2013 08:56 AM

Ill shop it when i get home, But maybe the logo rather large, right in front of the rear wheel. BUT it over laps the car so unless you know the logo, it llooks just abstract... super confusing i know.
ugly arse example, http://www.autodvdgps.com/images/car_sticker_ea40stk210.jpg
the bigger Hibiscus is what im talking aboot

And another...

mcomet 04-01-2013 08:16 PM

Here's mine... not sure how it would flow over the back edge tho.. sort might have to crop like particlewave's version... Or trim the bottom line... I could mock that up...

http://www.comet-cartoons.com/porsche/JDPorsche1.jpg

However I -strongly- recommend considering this proper badging on winshield and side door if you go this route...

Do you think that I could get by airport security with that ?

dbear61 04-01-2013 09:22 PM

I don't understand why everybody thinks this is so difficult. It only took me 2 minutes to come up with this masterpiece.

FWIW - i quite like the Porsche crest at the bottom of the front wing (fender for you guys;) ) i like it in isolation without anything else though.

Also if you absolutely positively have to freshen up the DM with a stripe PW is on to something but IMHO dont extend the stripe further by triming the bottom out of it (COMET) - it will just look like your side sill overlapped an existing decal.

Awsome stance though JD! yes... the car!

THIS looks Bad $ss.

schnellman 04-02-2013 10:33 AM

I know everyone's been making light of your request, JD. But if you're considering stripes and decals and such, you really can't afford to forget about the side exhaust decals discussed on this board some time ago. Not only will you provide a true enhancement to the Dangermobile, but as you may recall, you will also be improving gas mileage and increasing horsepower at the same time. Just a thought.

That's ok. You're from Maine. You can't help it.

But gotta give my opinion. THIS is what you want. The little piece in front of the front wheel helps balance off the busier rear quarter area. The stripe gives the car real overall balance, and although I like the yellow, it did look like a canary without the stripe!

Mark_T 04-04-2013 12:28 PM

Agreed, totally. Slicker 'n snot on a doorknob. Send this man a JD keychain!
