Hi guys/gals,
Wondering if the following would fit on my 1998 986. This bumper was taken off of a 2001 996 C2. I spoke to a few body shop guys and they had no clue, only saying that there is something different with the part that the bumper cover bolts on to ("the real bumper").
They couldn;t tell me what the difference was although they did say that the "design" of the bumper cover fits. Its just that they don;t know if it will bolt onto the real bumper or something to that point.

Seller is also selling some sort of a bumper insert. Not sure if I need that too. Here's the link to that. Hope I can get some good advice!
