Seat bottom is loose

The seat bottom on my 2000 Boxster feels like its loose. It makes a popping sound when I shift my weight around.

Any idea what I need to do to fix it?

thanks

Tommy

There are four bolts that keep the seat rails firmly attached to the bottom of the car. Check to see if all four bolts are tight.

If they are, then you should probably pull the seat to inspect it from the underside and see what's loose. You might find some bolts and nuts under the seat when you remove it.

Word of advice: Disconnect your battery for a half hour BEFORE you remove the seat and unplug anything. This will keep your airbag light from coming back on when you're done.

Mine does the same thing, but it's not the bolts that hold it down, it's something inside. It does not do this when my wife is driving because she has the seat all the way back and leaning back against the firewall. I drive with the seat back up so it makes a popping sound when I take off or make a hard turn.

When I took the seats out, I tried to find the problem but couldn't with the seat out. Hopefully someone else has found it. :D
