Pricing help for 2006 S

I am looking for help on pricing for a 2006 S with 58327 km's (36242 miles). It's listed for $40k right now but I think $35k is more reasonable asking price (am I out to lunch?). I am inquiring for an in-law that is seriously looking to purchase a Boxster. She got the itch after seeing my 2001 a few years back. Here is a link for all the pics and info. I have a lot of the service history but no dates when the work was done for some reason. She lives across country from where the Boxster currently is and shipping would be around $1000 to get it to her.

TIA for your pricing opinons. This will help her with negotiating.

It'll be on the high side because PFAFF is selling it... you can do way cheaper if you buy one private... on the other hand they generally only sell used stuff that is very well maintained

997 Carrera's have started turning up on Autotrader in the mid to low $30K's.
Not exactly low mileage but not over 80K miles either.

So I'm guessing those 987 prices are going to start coming down as well as more 981's hit the streets and interest rates are stupid low. People are buying a lot more car for the money and getting out of current cars sooner. And with those rates you have to wonder how many will want to go from 987 to mint 997.
