How often do you wipe your.....

Rims??

At least every other trip. <sigh>

Running Textar brand pads now, going ceramic soon!!

Every two weeks when I wash the car. Have some amazing wheel cleaner (Bilt Hamber) and they look brand new with a few squirts of this stuff.

Only clean the wheels when I wash the car...

Timco 03-13-2013 09:09 AM

If I waited a week my rims would be black!! What's the big secret??

MConte05 03-13-2013 09:14 AM

You paint them black. ;)

I plasti-dipped my wheels a year ago in flat-black. I have not washed or wiped my wheels since.

MConte05 03-13-2013 10:28 AM

I wasn't joking either. :p

I have mine wiped for me.

My rims are also plasti-dipped flat black so brake dust never shows up.

j.fro 03-13-2013 02:25 PM

+1 on plasti-dip!

coreseller 03-13-2013 02:29 PM

Simple Green breaks down the brake dust very nicely. I only addressed cleaning / wiping the wheels during car washes, never was a real issue and was running Textar pads also.

Holy tomatoes! :/

Easiest solution yet...

I just avoid using the brakes all together. Problem solved.
