What is the Porsche Boxster Carpet made from

Hey all,

I am wondering if any of you know what the Porsche Boxster Carpet is made from. Is it wool, nylon, polyester, polypropylene, or acrylic?

The floor, door panels, engine cover, etc.

Was thinking of dying it, and only certain types can be died.

thanks!

I can't remember who, but there are a few dying threads on here form folks who have done just that. Just have to search around and see.

Angels hair glued together with orphan's tears judging by the price of replacement. I wanted to replace my grey carpet with black but refuse to sell a kidney to finance the project.

Those kidney's just aren't worth what they used to be. Damn eBay ruins the value of everything.

I decided to look more into carpet dyes. Eric G. suggested I search this board. There was one thread that referred to Leather Repair | Leather Care & Restoration Products | Cleaner & Conditioner. So I checked them out. Turns out they do have carpet dyes and even list all the Porsche colors.

Here's the link to the Porsche Colors:
Porsche Interior Color Chart

I ordered the P970 Savanna and will post before and after pics when I do the project.

The carpet will be a type of polypropylene.

That's all I know!
