Can you post some pictures? What did you "cleaned and scrubbed it twice" with? And if you did this cleaning step after the Ragg Topp protectant, the protectant is now gone. You may need to re-dye the top. Need pictures.

How long did you let it dry prior to applying the protectant? Where the grayish stains there prior to starting the project?

The stains were on the top before i cleaned it the first time. I let the top dry in the sun 3 hours or so before i applied the protectant.

I'm no professor, it just makes it hard to read. I don't think the moderator cares.

I had some grease stains on it from touching it when I was in the engine compartment. I used some Simple Green and a soft sponge and it worked like a charm.

If it's greasy liquid, you can clean it with straight rubbing alcohol and paper towel. The bonus of alcohol is that it evaporates so you don't have to sop up water or get excess soap out. Rubbing alcohol is also excellent for carpet, BTW.

I had this same problem. The stains turned out to be bird poop stains that had sat too long on the top. I ended up using a product from Petsmart called 'poop-off'. It was the only thing that worked. It has some enzyme or something in it. Good luck.
