Chris, in my neck of the woods I think $14.5 is light. I know for a fact that was wholesale pricing last summer. If you don't need to get rid of it, just wait for an enthusiast who's done the research. Your car is clearly well maintained and someone who knows what they're doing should know that buying an original clutch, non IMSBR car with 20k less on the clock is not getting a better deal...and in fact is most certainly getting a lessor deal. A turn key 11 year old Boxster S with the right upgrades beats the hell out of a "dealer maintained 04 with 60k IMHO.

Yes, just pull it up on kbb.com.

Its important to remember that KBB online does not provide a listing of all of the available factory options (e.g. M030 suspension, Litronics, PSM, heated seats, etc, etc). Thus, KBB online should only be used a general guide. To get a more accurate valuation, take the KBB online value and add on the unaccounted factory options.

Chris, I would jump on your car in a heartbeat if I was looking for a Boxster. The new engine and all the upgrades would be worth a lot to a certain buyer (like myself). Sell it in spring and it will move extremely quickly, esp in sunny Cali!!!!!

Thank you all for the opinions, tips and good wishes.
I just posted on Excellence Magazine for $15k, let's see what happens
Otherwise I wait for spring here and do CL

Note to self: Look for 15K under my mattress when I get home.

Oh boy, I'm going to need that extra garage. I don't know how many of the great deals i can pass up. I'm looking for just the right one to send to my Mom's in up state NY (Adirondacks) for when I vacation or for other family members. If you were in NC and I test drove it I probably wouldn't be able to resist.

Look in the couch cushions, it's always in the couch cushions.

The car looks great Chris and is attractively priced to sell quick. All you need now is 1 buyer who "gets it" and has the cash.

They also add $1,350 to the sale price of an AMC Eagle repainted speed yellow. It's like a miracle color. ;)

And here is the conclusion of the story:
The car sold within 2 weeks of being listed here and on excellence-mag.com for $14.6

Based on the interest I got, I maybe should have listed it for $16.5k, but heck I still got $4,600 more than the dealer offered for trade in...

Someone got a great deal.

Congrats! You can always second guess but in the end, you got what you felt was a good price. Since it was an Excellence buyer, more than likely they will take good care of it.
