Horny Porsche!

So my horn goes off for no reason while I am driving it from what I have seen so far I think it happens when I turn the wheel a certain way does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of this?

Thanks.

You'll need to replace this:

Airbag Retaining Frame:Porsche Parts & Porsche Accessories - Wholesale Porsche Parts & Tequipment - Cayman Panamera Cayenn

I changed mine and it was probably 30 minutes start to finish.

Or, you can modify the grommets as some have done.

There is a how to on pelican for s steering wheels swap but the process is the same (minus the wheels change)

I didn't realize there was a walkthrough for this installation. My new airbag retaining frame has been sitting in my closet for about 9 months waiting to be installed. I took the horn fuse out so that it stops beeping.

Thanks for the link.

The reason why this happens is the contact points inside the air bag have worn out. If you'd like you can also fold up a business card and slide it between the air bag and the air bag frame. Its a temporary fix until you can get the air bag frame installed. I had the same issue and didn't have the money to replace the air bag frame and I'm not willing to change the air bag myself as I have heard nightmares from people who have had accidents with installing air bags. Another member told me about this...and no it does not hinder the air bag mechanism in any way, but it does solve the constant honking problem. It doesn't stick out especially since I used black tape to cover.

How many times are you folding your business card?

I just folded it in half then covered it with black tape to hide for the mean time. No one notices unless I point it out. Hope this helps!!!!

Sorry for the late response....it's been a busy 2 weeks for me.
