Boxster Suicide

porsche boxster owner tries to commit suicide - Nextwreak.com

Had a friend mention about a boxster suicide. The site seems very crude but such things are believable. It is interesting to see how the boxster faired on a head-on highway crash, but it is truly awful and tragic innocent people were killed. Be safe on the road, and RIP to the victims.

Yeah, I have a thought: what possessed you to post this??

You've got to admire the fact that the passenger compartment looks to be in pretty good shape.

I dont even know why the type of car matters in this type of story... sounds pretty stupid. This is why Porsche owners have that negative stereotype about them...

It's not everyday you hear of a Porsche being used in a suicide. As for that, I don't think there's a single positive stereotype towards any exclusive brand. People always say Ferrari = Compensating for something.BMW = Ahole Lamborghini = Dbag... the list goes on.

It is not surprising that insurance would be cheaper on a 986 than a Neon or Focus. Insurance is based on risk; risk is not just based on the car but on the driving record of the typical user, the user's group, and the number of miles driven. "As a group," Porsches are not much of a risk for the insurance companies, being generally driven by an older crowd and frequently not that many miles. My Cayman costs 1/3 as much to insure as my Scion tC, but that is hardly surprising considering I'm an old fart with a completely clean driving record and the car sits in the garage most of the time. By comparison, my 19 y/o is the primary driver of the Scion and Scions are popular with the young crowd that tends to have lots of accidents. I am sure if I was 19 and driving a 911 Turbo as my daily driver, I would be paying a lot more for insurance than any Neon or Focus.
