Adjusting Litronics

My mechanic wired up my litronics today and I attempted to adjust the beams tonight.

The two adjustments, according to my manual, are to adjust them vertically and horizontally.... but it seems that regardless of which adjustment I tried to use, it moved the lamp up and down. No left-right (horizontal) adjustment was happening at all!

Anyone fiddled with their litronics or have you found some pix of what properly adjusted litronics look like (such as a shot of the headlamps being pointed at one's garage door)?

If so, post them.

Exact same problem here...

I didn't install the extra wiring, but my alignment was off and both adjusters-things seemed to make it go up and down (although the passenger side one seemed to work adjust properly).

I took it to the dealership and they adjusted it for free (it's the only time I've ever taken the car to the dealership). However, I think I have to go back because the height it perfect, the driverside just needs to be aimed more to the left.

I don't have a picture, but I believe if it's aligned properly, you will be impressed. I occationly read people on this board aren't pleased with the Litronics, but I honestly believe that they are improperly aligned.

I thought in the manual there was a chart (distance all in METERS) that showed how to align headlights and brights. -There is in the 2000 manuell -oops, "manual."

From my understanding the left headlight will be pointed slightly to the right on the lintronics due to on comming traffic....supposed to be some type of saftey thing...I could be wrong but i took mine to two different dealerships and that is the response i got from both...

Let me know how it works out...If it is adjusted for you i will take mine back and have them redo it.
