Canadian driving licence

hi there this is a question concerning Canadian drivers really, one of my staff is off to your country early next year and hope to pass his driving licence while there, but he heard that after having your license you have to pay each year a fee, is this true? and for what do you have to pay? here the licenses are valid until you are like 70 years old!

nope, no such thing. When you first get your license, there's a 75 dollar fee then your license is valid for the next 5 years. You renew every 5 years to update your picture on your license.

I live in Saskatchewan and have to pay a fee every year. The amount is different each year depending on fines, accidents, part driving history,etc.....

The cost and expiry duration is entirely dependant on which Province you reside. Driver's Licences are a Provincial jurisdiction.
