Paint Code???

Hey
I have a 1999 model Boxster in Pastel Yellow. I need to get the paint code so I can get my Speedster Humps which I have just got painted to match. I am not getting them painted through my local Porsche dealer as they have quoted me $$$ which I personaly think was a rip off.

I am going to get it done at a local paint shop that deals in painting body kits and cars etc, but first I need to get the paint code so they can match my colour.

Can anyone help me out

Thanks in advance

You know, paint fades. You could ask your paint shop to paint it via the paint code, or ask them to take a densitometer to the paint on your clamshell and match that, and it will be a near-exact match to the color of your car today, not what was painted on the car in the factory.

Just a thought. Quality body shops match paint colors and shades all the time and usually take pride in making it match without paint codes.

didnt think of that, sounds good.
If anyone still has the code please help me out coz it would be still nice to know

It should be on a sticker in the front trunk I believe.

Your paint code is L12G.

Open your front trunk.

Facing the car, remove the felt like cover that is the right of the spare tire, towards the front of the car. There is a plastic nut that you turn counter clockwise and then pull off. Be careful, you can lose some skin here.

The label for the paint name and code is behind the felt.

Good luck.
