How to Lube the Convertible top Frame?

All,

I have REALLY loud creeks and groans from my convertible top ('03 S) when I turn up an incline (my driveway- 100% of the time) and occasionally over bumps and in turns. I can't place the sound directly - sounds like it's coming from behind my head. I assume this is frame related- can the frame be lubricated and if so how? Thanks.

i know it will sound stupid, but make sure the noise is not coming from the seat headrest, rubbing against the roll bar.

It's clearly not- my seat isn't that far back anyway . This sound is a loud, cracking, groaning type of sound that definitlely is coming from the roof structure. It happens when the car is 'twisted' as in sharp uphill or downhill off camber turns

Put the top in the service position and put a couple of drops of oil from an oil can on each of the pivots. Theres a lot of them, especially at the bottom of the mechanism.

I always lubricate the frame when replacing the plastic window or replacing the top. Don't forget to grease side tracks!!!!!
