Clutch howl

As above, I'm getting a sort of brief screechy howl on occasion when engaging the clutch from a standing start. It's intermittent. Usually doesn't happen. Ideas?

Oh, clutch is pretty worn. Has been heavy for about 30k miles.

Thanks.

That's a no brainer.
I decided to replace my clutch just becous it was very stiff.
Didn't make any noises or slipped.
When I removed it I saw that the clutch disc was near the end of is life, and the trow out bearing was toasted.
I believe the nois you have come as from the bearing.
Replace the clutch as soon as you can, hoping you did not damaged the flywheel.
