put it in gear, e brake on. Would recommend an impact driver...1/2" or bigger one. Cordless, air or electric one if you can borrow from someone. Good tool to go ahead and buy though. Makes taking lug nuts off easier....BUT NOT PUTTING THEM ON WITH IT.

I’ve got a 1/2” cordless impact wrench but I don’t think it has enough juice to pull an axle but off. I’ll give it a shot I guess.

Put a screw driver in the fins of the brake rotor to keep the axle from rotating. Then you can use whatever to get the nut off the axle.

+ 1 on Qindao's suggestion, but you may be able to loose the nut with the impact wrench.

Thank you all. My cordless impact didn’t have enough juice to get it off, but a long breaker bar and pipe took care of it. In the end all I wound up actually needing to hold it still was the e-brake.
