To store or not to store?
 

First winter with my 01.... I have read about storing the Boxster for the winter, but would'nt it be better on the car to take it out every few weeks as weather permits and drive it a little than to leave it sit in the garage and roll it a little to protect the tires from flat spots? Thanks for your input.....

Yes. Running your Box to full operating temp every couple of weeks would be better than storage.

Even if you do that, you may need to run a trickle charger for the battery. It takes quite a long drive to re-charge a battery and cold weather does a job on a sitting battery.

I saw a pretty cool storage thing in in the Performance Parts catalogue today you may be interested in. It's a storage "bubble" that keeps her safe from many of the problems with storage like mildew, rust, dust, condensation, etc. It says the cost is about $1.50/month in electricity.

Despite earlier recommendations, if you live in a Cold Climate (daily temps lower than 40 degree avg.) it is not better to run the car every couple weeks, this is much worse for the car.

Belts, Seals will be cold when you first start it. Also, each time you start it, you'll be cranking the Engine and running it for the first few minutes on Dry Oil Galleries and Bearing Shells ('til the thick Oil flows and pressurises), this will amount to much metal-to-metal wear.

Run it Daily, or Hibernate it. These are your best choices!...
