Question Boxster Shift Knob

I would like to replace the shift knob on my '97 Boxster since it looks so plain with something a little more updated. Anyone have any ideas on any websites that I could order from? Any help will be appreciated.

You cza see some on www.ebay.com. Type in "Porsche Boxster" and work through the 20+ pages. You'll see some!

You'll find the rare 5 speed silver and leather shift knob on Ebay. I paid a scant $65 for mine... but others went for far more. It's due to the rarity of them.

Of course, you can buy aftermarket but it LOOKS aftermarket. And, you can order one from a dealer... the one in Oregon is cheapest, but it won't be cheap.

It's a good mod though. I'm glad I did it on my 97 because it makes the interior look five years younger. I also upgraded to a used 3 spoke wheel, and now I'm doing the litronics as well as white gauge faces and aluminum trim rings.

I thought I posted this, but Iguess it did not go..

Why not get a 911 knob from your dealer. They have a bunch lying around as the 911 guys usually upgrade. Mine was free... worth a try..

Here you go:

$150 from Brandywine on Ebay. That's not a bad price for new in the box Porsche parts.

Send a message via AIM to blinkwatt
Does anyone here have a MOMO Anatomico shift knob installed on their Boxster?

Thanks, RandallNeighbor, unfortunately they only ship to the U.S. and I'm in Canada. I tried three dealers in Michigan today (since I'm located across the river from Detroit) trying 99-Boxster-MK's suggestion for using a 911 knob but they didn't have any. I'm going to Vegas on Sunday I'm going to try there, anyone know of any places there, other than a dealer?

Porscheman, buy that shifter off Ebay and have them send it to me here in Houston. I'm going to Toronto in two weeks!

Or, I could ship it to you. PM me if you are interested. I'm happy to help you out if you cover the costs.

Thanks very much RandallNeighbor. I spoke with one of my friends here and he said I could have it shipped to his cousins place in Michigan. Again, I'm amazed how kind and helpful everyone has been on this forum. You're an ace Randall. Thanks again for the offer. As I said I'm going to Vegas Sunday, since I'm not much of a gambler who knows waht trinkets I can find there for my Box. If I find anything interesting I'll let you know.
