Is it just me or does the 986 lack aftermarket options?

I am looking for new headlights, preferably non-amber ones,
and the one seller with new oem sells for $800 for the pair on ebay.
(Edit) Oh nice, looks like I can get them from

Where are all the Chinese knockoffs? This isn't BMW apparently!

Btw, in case you are interested I am getting my first 986 tomorrow if the PPI turns out good.
If I do I plan to get new headlights and then do a xenon retrofit.
This will involve me getting some projectors like from an Infinity FX35 or Acura TSX and
fabricating them inside the oem Porsche 986 light housings, and then add the proper ballasts, and bulbs to make it work.

Email this guy for updated headlamp units: jezzb@aol.com

Here's a link to a pic of them. Very nice looking IMO:

This route would be a lot less hassle and maybe less money too, plus, you don't have to worry about the glare from a retrofit kit.
