IMS/RMS Replacement Cost
Going to have the IMS/RMS replaced during the upcoming seasonal down time. Going to have a local independent Porsche shop do the job. I've been quoted $2,300 for both efforts to include (since I have a Tiptronic) a coolant flush and fill.
I'm just wondering what other shops are charging so I can see if they're in the ballpark. Thanks for your input. |
Price sounds in the ball park for a good estimate. You may want to consider replacing your coolant reservoir as this is simply the best time to do it. Trying to do it with the tranny in (to put it mildly) is a pain and a half, one other thing to look at is your water pump and thermostat.
Keep us posted on what you do and how things turn out. |
Price for both sounds reasonable. Normally $1,700 for IMS alone on a manual tran.
+1 what Eric said, coolant reservoir is good to have replaced at same time if needed... |
Price is decent as mentioned for IMS and transmission work.

Cool, that's what I was thinking.
