Fitting rear anti-roll / stabilser bar drop links
 

So, I have a pair of new rear drop links for my '97.

I've seen reference to possible loss of alignment when doing drop links, though this was in ref to the front. Inference was that you have to mark where everything was bolted up to avoid losing alignment. Does this apply to the rear? Thanks.

Also, meant to ask - in terms on making sure the links are unloaded when doing this do I want the wheels unsupported and drooping or do I want to support them? Or doesn't it make any difference?

Once you start, you will quickly realize how the rear anti-sway bar works, which will render all you concerns pointless. It will not matter how you take the drop links off, or put the new ones back on. :D

As to the front, I haven't looked closely enough to say for sure, but I would venture a guess that the same principle applies.

Minor addition to 73s assessment below would be that - you didn't say whether you were using stock or Adjustable drop links. If your drop links are adjustable you do not want to load one way or the other on the rollbar - in fact, for most circumstances you want to evenly unload the bar. Have both wheels evenly off the deck (in full droop) and you should be fine no matter what you use.

You should not be messing with your alignment either front or back simply by replacing drop links.
