Exhaust Snap and Pop

I am getting some snaps and pops when blipping the throttle for down shifts. It sounds great but I am wondering if this an indication of problem such as lean condition or it's simply a function of my bypass exhaust and 2nd cat delete pipes; softronic flash; 74 mm tb.

Its not an out and out back fire but a....pop! Snap! I realize that I am using exhaust noise as feedback for throttle blips.....the snap crackle pop catches me out such that my engine speed is not spot on when let out the clutch

Anyway thoughts?....durametric scan is clean

Popping upon letting off the accelerator and down shifting may be an exhaust leak sucking in air..
Seen this a lot with motorcycle exhaust changes, small leak will do this..

Popping on decel could indicate an good state of tune.....but I am getting it right on the the blip for downshifts.

I will have a look at the exhaust...thanks!

....I suppose with a blip you are throwing a fresh charge in an over run condition....so it's going to pop in an unmuffled exhaust... my bypass pipes
