Mobil 1 10w-40 High Mileage.

Walmart- Brand 20W-50 Conventional.

Mobil 1 0W40. But stick with the Porsche stuff in the transaxle.

The transaxle oil can be topped up or replaced as described here: Pelican Technical Article: Boxster Differential / Manual Boxster Transmission Fluid Change - 986 / 987 |
Any high quality synthetic 10W-40 is good for the car. I have been using Mobil 1. Tried Castol for a couple changes but saw/heard no benefit. Went back to Mobil 1 because I can get it for $30 less per change.
Be sure to change the oil by 5,000 miles or annually which ever is first. |
Joe Gibbs DT40 5W40.
