Durametric Gurus! Quick question...

One thing I'd like to do is make my ride a little more quiet.

Can we use the Durametric cable/software to turn off the annoying seatbelt chime/dingdong/whatever?

Any other "easter eggs"?

Please, I wear my seatbelt at all times, it is not about this, ok?

Thing is that when we used to have a Touareg a lot of things could be changed to turn on/off certain features, one of them the seatbelt warning sound.

Thanks!

Hmmm don't believe you can but you can try looking under the coding group

I think you need the full version to turn off things permanently

If you think the Box is annoying you should take a trip in a wrangler.....the chime starts as soon as the key is turned....it's loud and never goes away; I swear I a loosing more hearing from it!

There you go! Those chimes are getting out of hand! As I mentioned our TReg was wonderfully quiet after making changes. It seems the VW community has a tendency to figure things out and are very hands on. No go in the Cayenne world..... Here it is much better and a lot of folks try things.

I think it is poor from a design stand point as it will desensitize the driver to audible alerts

We don't have these "chimes" on our Australian ROW cars, so removing them is certainly doable....
But you may have to use the PIWIS to delete them.
