Hunting for idle with a/c on

Guys,

today I am noticing that when the a/c compressor in engaged, the following symptoms occur in this particular sequence.

1) I will be driving in gear (can be any gear)
2) I put the car to neutral
3) When the car is neutral, the rpm counter goes down to around 400rpm, and this is also evident from the engine noise, sounds like it is about to stall.
4) RPM counter then jumps to 1000-1100 rpm
5) Settles at around 700 rpm.

This only happens with the a/c running.

Is it normal?

I think,,,after 2 Martini's (shaken, not stirred) that my car does the same. I keep thinking that the engine is going to stall, but it does not ,so I think that all the IMS stuff scares me and keeps me on edge.

I am experiencing the same issue and have cleaned the TB to no avail... Please post back when you have tried this.
