Anyone recognise this severed vacuum line?
I found this vacuum line while rummaging around in the engine compartment. It was cut or disconnected. I have no engine trouble, roughness or ECL. Its by the engine bay cover belt-side and appears to go into a oil reserve of some kind next to the drivers side intake manifold. I dont know what it is or what I should do with it. Any ideas?

I believe that is the "over-flow" or something like that for the power steering fluid (someone please correct me if I am wrong)... Believe it or not it just hangs there and drips on the engine. But it's a Porsche so that makes it right ;)

That is correct.
I went out and bought a longer hose to replace the OEM one. Now, it runs down along the left side of the engine, zip-tied out of the way, and lets overflow harmlessly splash down on the ground. |
Did the same thing and I ended up routing mine down to below the engine. Why Porsche thought dumping this onto the engine was a good thing baffles me.

Thanks guys. Yes I looked in the manual and the reservoir I saw was the power steering fluid. So its not a vacuum line - just looks like one.
