Got my first axle out

Made some discoveries , the new Axles from Rockauto are not going to fit unless I stretch them. The CV boots look pretty good but since I have already purchased everything from Pelican to re-boot and re-lube them I am going to. The underside of the car does not look too bad, I will however be glad to get this job finished so I can start pulling the engine out of my FJ40 for a rebuild.

Some Pics from today

Reboot is a very dirty job, reman axles can be had from local parts houses for a song, I just did this job and if I had it to do over I would have simply bought the correct reman axles and left the old axles alone. Seriously, it is not worth it.

Are you planning on 'tubbing' your car?
