If it is what I think it is, I'm not going to watch it :(

Crono0001 09-10-2012 01:32 AM

My god, why would you post something like that? Makes my heart sink

Eric G 09-10-2012 02:29 AM

OMG...over 10,000 rounds from small hand guns to a Ma Deuce! All because he was feed up with repairs to the engine!

Too much money, and a lack of self control is a bad mix, 2011 should have been getting repaired free.

That looks like a 996 to me.

Deserion 09-10-2012 05:22 AM

Why not just give it away for someone to fix instead of destroying it?

Johnny Danger 09-10-2012 05:28 AM

Nothing a little rubbing compound can't fix .

Eric G 09-10-2012 05:28 AM

Seems like the owner is from Jay's "more money then brains" club.

Another case of lead poisoning. It'll affect all those standing around the car...albeit in a slower way.

Good!!!! that way the problem does not get passed on to the next owner.

Now he can bring it in for warranty work to the dealership.

They would still be obliged to fix the engine under warranty if they could determine what the original problem is/was and I'm sure that message, with pictures, would make it up to headquarters.

That was a good laugh to start the week thank you! Apparently you have never tried to court the Porsche company for some consideration, it may have been what led to the lead! I thought it said the vehicle was a 2011 though so I agree in principle with what you wrote.

Are you talking about that wax that cost 12k for a jar?

Mark_T 09-10-2012 02:08 PM

What he does now is flat bed it to the dealer and say " I think my water pump is shot."

The reliability of some of the guns in the video seemed to be pretty suspect as well. Maybe the gun owners should switch to 5W40 instead of 0W40 or change the oil every 14,500 miles instead of 15,000.

Sure that'll buff out ;)

What a puss. He could have dropped a LS3 motor in there and be driving around in a stealth 500hp 996.

rp17 09-12-2012 07:24 PM

It hurts to look at that. :barf: But I'll pay for the towing to the dealership. The look on the managers face would be priceless!! :D:D:D

No it's the Mobile 1... Never run Mobil 1 at the range. It's "OK" around town, but at the range it's no good. You're right about the 5W40 though, my Mini 14 ranch rifle and my Beretta 94 are much quieter on start up with the heavier oil because it's thicker. Also syntec is the best...;)

Just went back to the article and checked .. 2011 was the date posted .. not year of the car .. looks like 996 to me.
