Sunday morning
Missed my Sunday morning drive today. Woke up to rain and clouds. I dont use this car in the rain asI dont have to. Do many of gou take your out in the rain for just a cruise? Just curious...

I drive my 2001 in anything except hail. Drive year round and once drove it when it was 30 degrees below zero. I admit I was pushing the limit and it did not sound happy.
No I don't baby this car. It starts well in an unheated garage. I wash it frequently(it's black and shows dirt).Could not imagine parking it in winter and experiencing Porsche withdrawal symptoms. Rain no problem but take it easy on the corners:dance: |
I leave the top down from April through October. If I can't go out with the top down, I drive something else.

Daily driver. I drive my Boxster S everyday year long. Sun, rain, snow, mud anything it doesnt mather, I like to drive it :-)

Unfortunately I don't have room in the garage to get the Porsche in so she lives on the drive. But she does get used daily, even if its just a few miles to town.
Soooooo much more fun than my daily driver Golf! |

Around here they spread way too much salt on the roads. I've seen it happen with the most minor flurries...it's just crazy. |
I generally only drive in the rain if caught in a storm or if I have to go somewhere and the Benz isn't available (if my partner is using it). Generally I'll drive top-down if I don't have to be somewhere looking presentable as I "perspire" too much when it's warm.

Our 2K S is a year round daily driver. Yes we do take a cruise on a rainy day. We just don't have very many of them. We have not had a rainy day since May.

Is your car named the wicked witch of the west? Afraid it will melt if it gets wet?
