Porsche car day for us (yeah), took the 986 out for a ten miles ride only - before it fails!

- 10 miles away car from leaving home, car break down
- Flat tire (fak)
- No spare (spare tire delete, IDIOT, fak x10)
- Call my mate (live right next to us), he can't find my spare tire anywhere
- Hire a cab, ride back home to pick up a friggin "tire"
- Porsche alone, no owner, on the hazard light somewhere in Shanghai

I hope everything turned out ok for both you & the car after sitting unprotected.

I spent the day getting new rubber & an alignment. Drove w/ the top down in 50 F weather to Mom's house and got promptly scolded about getting getting a cold. http://www.986forum.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif

changed the rear trunk lid badge to Panamera P O R S C H E letters.

made a 1:1 scale template using CAD, letters 25mm apart.

Drove 20 miles from work to home with the top down. I live one mile from work.

Changed the oil at 3k miles, filter was spotless... then I drove it!

Called my storage company and let them know that I will be there at 11am on 3/29 to pick it up!!

Drove to work in it, had the OBC stalk delivered to work so now waiting on the loom wires & then get fitting this weekend & arrange trip to 9Meister in Warrington to enable OBC ;)

Took some time off from projector retrofits and spent the day at the park with my lady ;)

out for a drive and back for a wash

Got my baby back today from SS Motorsports. Freshly painted calipers, wheels and new spoiler. :dance:

Continued the interior color change by dying the seats black. Also I got some of the dash pieces back from my hydrographic guy. Can't wait to finally put my dash on.

Optimistically ordered the insurance back on for Wednesday (despite predictions of below freezing) figuring it has to warm up sometime. Started work on a dock bench in the garage, facing the Boxster while I worked. Put a smile on my face.

Installed 987 shifter, replaced the CD storage with a cubby, and installed an iPod cable.

looks nice, but what happens when the battery dies? open the Frunk from inside the fender?

I added "porsche" to the back of my car, added small porsche logos on the side of the car and had to find the problem to why my break light didn't work. Turned out great from my opinion :).

Installed new door speakers - awesome difference!

Replaced rear trunk shocks. Back of my head is good for another 50k miles!
