Looked like fun!

Not an expert yet you appear to consistently take lines better lines thru the turns but the yellow car just has more horsepower...

Thanks for sharing...

How does it look can you post some pics? Also do you have an amp and / or door subs?

This is a single DIN unit. It looks great. Has Bluetooth, Pandora, HD radio, etc. Can make/receive calls hands free, pair with my iPhone for music, navigation, etc. I am using the DSP that came with my Bose system (Sport Package??).

Convertible top refresh

About a year ago I had a new GAHH top installed. The other day I got to looking at the driver side and it didn't quite close right. So upon inspection I noticed the mushroom locking posts on the clamping piece were broken. Now plastic can be expected to do that after 20 years. So after researching and referring to Mike Focke's excellent top repair DIY's , ordered new parts from Pelican. I would recommend replacing these parts if you have a new top installed, cost was $85.00. One thing the DIY's point out is that the lower top needs to be disassembled to replace the slides, this is not correct as you can see by the pic. First side took about an hour to do, second was 20 minutes. I used the 3m super stick tape to attach the top fabric to the clamping piece. Should have no problem here for the next 20 years. On a side note after seeing how this top is designed, I will absolutely replace the top myself if I ever have to. Simplicity by design.

At long last I managed to track down an annoying persistent exhaust leak - with the help of a stethoscope!
It was at the rear end of the headers - on both sides. Patched them up with some high temp J-B Weld. It ain't pretty.
I'll see if it works for a time. Soon going to get some new headers and high flow cats.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1471756910.jpg

Gave my car a nice quick wash this morning (needs a waxing, but too hot) before we head off to the Red Sox game tonight. Missed driving this while it was in the shop for the last 6 weeks.

A festival of updates/repairs today....changed the column switch to add CC, wired the CC, change the steering wheel/airbag to a recovered thicker wheel. installed yellow gauge faces, replaced the 2 cluster rods that do the dimmer/clock. installed LED bulbs. Checked the drive belt (looked brand new) and finally repainted the rear bumper guards.

I connected the rear window defroster after getting a new top installed. It turned out that the guy installing the top wasn't able to find where it plugs in... :P

Also, I had a new top with a glass rear window installed a couple of days ago.

I'm all for JB Weld, but man, I would not have put it on the bolt.

The photo is misleading. I cleaned up the repair soon after so the bolt is clear - it looks a lot neater than shown. The repair paste is not really epoxy but heat resistant. It can be scraped off if necessary.

My wife and I drove to Colorado from Indiana and back again. Trip was 15 days & 3,541 miles. Boxster gave us a great trip, narry a hiccup.
