Nope, at least they didn't seem to for me. I'll try again tomorrow to make sure I didn't make a mistake. I now have both a 986 and 987. I was given some Genuine Porsche thick rubber mats for a 987 and they didn't fit my 986. I thought I had sold them and was going through my boxes yesterday and found them...well this was perfect because I was taking my new (to me) 987 to the mountains today and it's nice to not worry about staining the carpet-ted with all the getting in and out of the car in dirty conditions. Well they fit perfect and are so thick and rugged. I try in the morning again and let you know. I will also check this deal out!

I'd say no. A 987 is slightly larger in the cabin, than a 986. A 986 floor mat would "fit" better into a 987, but I'd imagine the "fit" to be sloppy.

I am using 987 rubber all weather mats in my 987 and they do not fit perfectly, but they are not all that bad. Only place they do not lay flat are om the outside top corner where the 987 does not have a little protrusion that the 986 has. I swap them back and forth as they are not available for the 986.
