Can someone identify this plug for me please...

Need to find out what this plug is please... All connectors have been found and I can't tell if I am missing a cover or a plug was disconnected before I got the car.

98' 5 speed (picture shown is not my transmission but shows plug I am trying to identify)

Thank you!

Top fill port for gear oil ? Just a guess Bentley book is in the garage. Tube in photo is likely adding fluid as the triple square anti tamper in the photo is for the drain.

Thanks Spinnaker...I dug through the books and even the UK manual and while they would show it, nothing was telling me what I needed.

I appreciate the help...now I have to go look for the connection! Obviously I tucked it away to well....errrr.

Is that your speedo sensor?

Yes and I for the life of me cannot find my plug to go in there! I do remember now taking it off and tucking it up but now it has vanished.

Any idea where the pick up comes into the engine compartment?

I mean I have crawled around the engine bay top to bottom, gone over the transmission and everywhere else...its playing hide and seek and its winning.

If I recall it is routed to the rear trunk firewall and the DME. Fish around there and see if you can find it.

Thank you...I will give this a look in the morning...

I can hope I find something...
