Adding Subwoofer

Anyone know if the Kenwood KSC-SW1 powered subwoofer kit will fit under the passanger seat. If not what other ideas are there to ad subs to the car? Thanks

Do a search on this forum for "subwoofer" and a bunch of discussions will pop up. Joji just put one of the powered subwoofers on the carpeted ledge that covers the engine because his boxster didn't have any rear speakers. Details are here:

It's so tight behind the seats and under them that any decent sized subwoofer probably won't fit unless the driver or passenger's seat is brought forward permanently.

Someone has very recently added that particular sub. The last I remember it was installed in front of the passenger seat. The owner said that there was no way he could live w/ that much space taken away from behind seat. As for under the seat I can barely shove a baseball cap underneath for storage. The best sub location apears to be an 8" or 10" sub in the passenger footwell. I've seen several ways to do this one being much less intrusive to space.
