Frunk, Trunk and Center Console... HOT!
I am just wondering if it is normal for the frunk, trunk and Center Console to become hot after driving the Boxster S. I was not driving hard, just normal cruising, and when I arrive at my destination and open the luggage compartments and center console to collect my stuff, they all feel quite warm to the touch. I might understand that the back trunk might get quite hot due to the engine being close, and maybe the frunk due to the radiator placement, but the center console??
Is this normal? I have to store my shopping on the front seat to prevent stuff getting cooked :p |
Yep. I could cook eggs in my console or trunk. Never noticed heat in the frunk, though.

I'd better be careful not to 'cook' my own then

In my 2001 S, the trunk gets really warm. The frunk gets almost as warm as the trunk. I never noticed the center console being warm. I know the muffler heats up the trunk, and the center radiator heats up the floor of the frunk, but what heats up the center console?

Coolant lines run along the tunnel to the radiators
