The Sound Of Bliss...

Ran several errands today at lunch with the stereo off and just listening to the sweet sound of that flat-6. What an engine! What a wonderful sound!

Pure bliss.

I don't ever have the radio on, I use the sound button below it with the exhaust outlet icon on it.

My girlfriend said something that actually shocked/surprised/impressed me.

I asked if she wanted to plug in her iphone to listen to her music for a drive.

Her response was: "Nah...I like the way your car sounds" :)

Yeah , we don't need a "soundakor" in the Boxster The Rise of the Fake Engine Roar - Popular Mechanics

I thought about getting one of these for when I have to drive the Altima:

I don't believe grouping sport exhaust with a pre recorded track makes any sense. The burbles and song of my car are being generated by the car. Now, one can argue (successfully I might add) that the sport exhaust option is an expensive do nothing for performance option. However, ask yourselves this boys, if you negotiated for a car you wanted and said option was in that car, would you not be pressing the button? I press sport plus and exhaust as soon as it's running.

Pre-recorded engine sound? Synonomous with sacreligious, blasphemous, heresy, and poseur. BMW's M5 engineering team should be burned at the stake for doing such a thing.

Lip syncing? No thanks. Love the natural sound of my S!

I find the radio annoying especially with the top down. My girl never asks to turn it on unless she is drunk and it is late at night. I will use it with the top up on the way to the mountains, but once there it’s off!

My 01 Boxster has 93,000 miles on the car and 500 miles on the radio.
