Does Anybody Have Rear Stone Deflectors/Mud Flaps?

I have been waiting to find a pair of the black plastic pieces that go IN FRONT of the Rear Wheels. The part is known as a Stone Deflector but also as mud flaps on some ebay auctions.

Have talked to the dismantlers, waited on ebay, called the stealership - and cannot find them for less than $100 for the pair. Any ideas guys?

If you have a spare set that is not too badly banged up…PM me or let me know if you have a tip on one or the pair! This is the last part of my car that needs to be corrected before I can rest.

Thanks in advance.

I knocked 1 of these off at the track about a year ago! Very sad & disappointed to see how much Porsche has "cheapened" the replacement part to about 1/3rd it's original thickness & trippled the cost!

last one I bought at a dealership was $90 and I was not impressed by the quality. I am in need of one now, but am also looking for a better price.

Hi Bar10dah,

I need part #10, the whole plastic piece. It is mangled on the outside from hitting too many apexes! Literally!

Hi BYprodriver,

If you "scoop" one let me know and I'll keep your info. Like most things you look and look and do not find anything and then you find a bunch at one time. When I find a bunch, at a good price - I'll let you know!

Hey Mountainman,

Thanks for the invite to use the lift. If I were only 2,000 miles closer! Love the roads there. Too bad the cops are so anal they tag you for a mile over! Bet that is tough driving the Pcars there…it is hard to get out of second gear!

Regarding the Stone Deflectors, that is about the price stealership wanted here in DFW. Are they nuts? BOTH for $100 is O.K., not great but O.K.

Like the Porsche Wind Deflector…$250 for a part that costs about $25 to make? Robbery. No different than any other car dealer, does not mean we have to buy from them.

I thought with all those "blown" Boxsters, there would be more of these plastics floating around. Someone has to have a pair!

Somewhere I have a set of these . They came off my vehicle following a body kit project. They were on the vehicle for only about 15k miles . So, last I knew, they were in very good condition . The question is, where did I put them ? If and when I find them I'll let you know .

JD
