Red or Yellow Calipers?
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1342508046.jpg
I'm installing front S brakes, so they'll fill out the wheel a bit more. My question is: Should I keep the calipers red? Or paint them yellow? The interior will eventually have a black and yellow trim, which is why I ask. Yellow will fit the trim... but calipers look so much more aggressive red. |
Put me down for a yellow vote on that one.
Good luck |
I'd say yellow to match the interior. I think they look wicked in yellow too!

Here is how they will look yellow ( from my 986)

I always determine the performance of a car by the color of the calipers. It may sound like a joke but it isn't. Black; standard brake package (cast iron). Red; upgraded (larger diameter) performance package (cast iron). Yellow; high performance upgrade (larger 6 piston calipers, carbon/carbon or ceramic composite rotors and pads - up to $20- $25K option).
Porsche isn't the only ones with these color designators, Corvettes also. |

I vote for yellow. Everyone else already has red (including me!).

Red shows less dirt and looks cool.

With black car, yellow calipers is my vote (I have grey exterior and painted my calipers red)

I am so lucky to have brakes !!! An old good looking guy like me is what the "Babes" are looking at !!!!! Not the brakes. How about it....Recycled ??? !!!!
|
I'm sold on yellow.
Pics soon to come. Also, I'm not so old :D |
Red...REd...RED! I prefer RED. Yellow looks weak.
