New tire, new brakes, time to take a drive.

I ordered the Hankook V12's, got them put on last week, then I ordered and installed (Thanks to the DIY posts) new brakes. The brake pads had plenty of wear left, bu they squeaked to bad it was embarrassing. I think I'll head over to the Minnesota bad-roads lakes area this weekend and try the twisty roads.

Go easy till those new brakes are broken in..... I just installed a new set and the booklet said no hard use for 100 miles, and that they wouldn't be fully bedded for around 250....

The hankook V12's need breaking in as well. They get squirrely for the first couple hundred miles

Bed the brakes...go to a nice stretch of road, get to about 50-60 and make a sudden stop without locking up the wheels down to about 20-30 mph. Do this about 3 times and your brakes will feel a lot better.

Thanks for the advice. Took it on a 200 mile trip last night, but it was a boring drive-Interstate all the way. The weather for this weekend is looking good for the twisties.
