Will these wheels and tires fit on the 986?
Will the following set up fit properly on a 986? I'm looking for a flush with the fender look.
Front: 18x8.5 +45 offset with 235/40/18 Rear: 18x10 +38 offset with 265/40/18 The tires are bigger compared to the other setups I've seen here on the forum. I plan on lowering with Eibachs or H&Rs as well. Thanks for the replies! |
Yes. In fact, that's a very good fitment . What wheels are they . Sportec ?

Thanks Johnny for the reply.
Ok so they will fit with the car lowered about an 1". The only thing that's turning me off about them are the sidewall heights. I'm used to seeing a 225/40 up front and 265/35. Do you know if the 235/40s up front will lead to rubbing issues when the car is lowered? |

Yep the rears are tall with 265/40/18. With your stock tires the speedo indicated speeds that were "overly optimistic". The speedo might actually be accurate now. :) The other concern is whether the difference in rolling diameter is enough to foul your ABS. +- 3% is the usual safe zone.
