Titanium Brake Shields?
|
The fact that this clown thinks boiling brake fluid produces air should tell you something about his level of technical acumen, and exactly how much you should believe everything else he says……………..

there was a movie a few years ago with jack black and ben stiller (can't remember the name). in the movie jack black invents a device that makes dog ******************** disappear. the big thing was "where does the poo go?"
so, where does the heat go if the pads can't transfer it to the chassis? |
They are air cooled......both from air flow when the vehicle is at speed and also (to a lesser degree) by the forced rotational draughting effect of air from the wheels and rotors.
|
It may not be air from the brake fluid, but it can "boil" and cause a soft pedal. Whether this product works or not, I have no Idea. SS pistons, and various insulating materials are a legitimate way to keep heat out of the brake fluid.
|
i understand that brakes are air cooled. however the airflow cools the whole assembly and not just the pads. these shields isolate the pads from the rest of the assembly, so if the pads can't radiate heat into the rest of the assembly to be cooled by the air (and, i understand, to not transfer the heat into the brake fluid) where does the heat go? the pads can't hold it all. i suspect snake juice and the heat will get into the assembly regardless of whatever titanum doodads you put in it's way, and beware your brake fluid. titanium whatever can't make heat dissappear.

Placebo effect, can't underestimate it's power in humans, people have responded to sugar pills as much as the actual medicine in some studies. I think this is one of those times, just like improving the intake noise creates the illusion of more acceleration.
