Replacement Remote FOB

The PO took great care of the low milage '98 Boxster, but the remote looked like their dog chewed on it or it want through a couple of wash cycles. The top was glued on and it looked like poo.

On the recommendation of another member on this forum, I bought a terrific replacement for less than the dealers sell them:

See: Porsche items in porsche fob store on eBay!

Shipment was fast, product is brand new and I am very satisfied. Here's a couple of pics of the old and new FOBhttp://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1339175961.jpg

I bought the same one and I love it too. Great job.

Took the new FOB down to local lock shop to have the key cut. Also transferred the RFID chip.

FYI- The old beat up key that had the RFID removed will only unlock the doors, can't start the car. Might be handy in a hide-a-key box if you ( or me) lock the regular keys inside...Not a big loss if it falls off.
