Porsche Boxster Breakdown from Monaco F1

Am in need of a bit of help! My car broke down in France coming back from Monaco F1,it got brought back by breakdown truck from Troyes in France to UK. Think its the cv joint outer one passenger side,got a quote for the part £600,thats about $960 for a genuine part from Germany about 2-3 days,seems a bit excessive and have got to fit it myself pelican parts site very helpful on how to do it! But need to find someone who has a secondhand part or good parts dealer to keep the cost down a bit! my car is 2002 Boxster S 6speed manual. Have added pic hope u all like the plate! Thanks in advance 4help! Oh by the way this car is a rocketship had 135mph just outside on the Autoroute at Nice,she had plenty in reserve toasted the BMW m3,am maybe regretting this though now!http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1339012323.jpg |
A good used one could be had for a couple of hundred. Try the last 2 first....:cheers:

They're a disassembler located in Toronto, Canada I googled "boxster used parts UK" and found several suppliers. Did you try that? Might save shipping, duty, etc if you can buy locally. |
Take a look at Design911 in London. I have done business with them and they are a stand up group of folks. Madmods here on the forum got his new suspension and bits from them as well and can attest to their quality in service.
