Side Air Intake install

I just bought side air intakes for my 2010 Boxster in black, these are the same as in the 2012 Black Boxster edition.
I have researched previous articles on taking off the original air intakes, specifically the ones about desnorkeling, but it seems that in the newer models, the air intakes are attached differently and am having problems taking mine off.
Anyone done a recent install?
