where can I find the paint code on my boxster?

I need to have my fender painted and im looking for the paint code. I have a silver boxster and I know there is a few silvers but I dont know which I have. Is there a spot on the car that has the code my car is?

Its in the frunk. :) "X1" for Artic Silver and "58" for Polar Silver.

The sticker under my hood says "92U" for Arctic Silver

My bad :o thats probably it :) I think the one I posted is a part of VIN number color code. :o

You don't need the code so much as a good body shop. Good shops will scan your existing paint and mix a formula which most closely resembles it's current condition. This is particularly necessary on AS (and other metallic colors) for closest match. You can give them the code too but there are slightly different variants based on MY and sometimes w/in...

:)

Is Polar silver the more "rare" color?

Arctic Silver is very common so Polar Silver is probably more "rare" than Arctic but with more than 200,000 Boxsters sold very few colors could be considered "rare" except a special order or special anniversary color.

Mine is forest green metallic. There are probably hundreds of them but only one I've ever seen on the road in Atlanta. Looks really good for a green car. I like the dark green from 70s and 80s a little better but when it's clean it glistens
