987 option # PO4--PASM with 6 spd.--opions needed.

Would appreciate comments from owners that have chosen or driven this option on the Base model.
We've ordered a 987 with PASM , have elected for the 5 spd but have some time to change to the 6spd . Drove an S and thought the gear box was stiff relative to the 5 spd--both cars were new. Any reasons not to go with the 6spd?
