Inside Windshield seal help

I am putting the Boxster back together. Only problem is.... a lot of time passed and details I can't remember!

Question is on the inner windshiled seal.... this is the seal the goes around the windshield and down each side of the A-pillar on the inside of the car..... not outside on the windshield.

There is a plastic rectangular plate that has two allen screws in it on each side of the A-pillar, left and right sides. I am not sure if the plate goes under or over the seal. I would think it would go over to retain it, but it does not appear that it was that way before as the plastic fits perfectly underneath. However, if it is underneath, I don't see the purpose of the part.

Can someone please look at their car and tell me how this goes on correctly.

Thanks!
